Yes, I am a Cubbie-liever. And yes, the children have inherited the ways of the Die-Hard. I can’t explain the loyalty, the optimism, the complete faith that the big win is right around the corner. It’s just there. And so my thoughts now wander to next Spring, when the ivy is green and the grass is fragrant, and I believe it will be the year we’ve all been waiting for.
